"The idea for this was to combine sky fades and neons (my art) with Cree and digital aesthetics (my influences). Unlike the Haida with their totem poles, Cree people mostly did symmetrical, lines and patterns; very minimal designs, but strong designs (think of traditional beadwork). I was also thinking Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock, who don’t really dive that deep but still have such a cool design element to their work. Like you don’t have to appreciate it beyond the surface, but there is a deeper framework, if you willing to explore."-Lee Stewart
