The Blue Barn Gallery was Ottawa’s premiere art space in the 1960s, having as its primary goal the promotion of modern Canadian art regionally, nationally and internationally. Those involved were catalysts in the evolution of Ottawa's contemporary art scene. The artists featured in this exhibition played key roles in this evolution, sharing a common drive to create, educate and effect change. Wall Space Gallery is pleased to showcase artists’ Gerald Trottier, James Boyd, Victor Tolgesy, George de Niverville, and Duncan de Kergommeaux, and the work they created during this exciting mid-century modern period.
