On Thursday July 9th we had the opening reception for A Life in Colour. This exhibition centered on the late Sharon Kelly, an esteemed abstract artist that Wall Space represented for over ten years. The show was organized by Sharon's friends and her husband Steve, alongside our curator Haruka Toyoda; featuring works by Heidi Conrod, Vickie Marsango, and Christopher Griffin.
Husband, Steve Brougham gave a beautiful speech in which he quoted a poem found in Sharon's studio that read:
I have refused to live
locked in the orderly house of
reasons and proofs.
The world I live in and believe in
is wider than that. And anyway
what's wrong with Maybe?
You wouldn't believe what once or
twice I have seen. I'll just
tell you this:
only if there are angels in your head will you
ever possibly, see one.

It was a very special night, fitting for a very special show. We thank everyone who made this night possible and all who attended to celebrate with us. We owe a huge thank you to Sharon, for bringing us together in tears, laughter, and love. Her art will be greatly cherished and remembered by our team at Wall Space and beyond.
